Delfin III floating through the Amazon, Hiram Bingham to Machu Picchu, Titilaka Lodge at 12,500 feet—luxury that respects landscape
Two visits to Machu Picchu (including sunrise access), Nazca Lines overflight, Uros floating islands, Uyuni's white infinity—doors that don't open twice
Eighteen days where pink dolphins surface at dawn, colonial Lima glows at dusk, and the salt flats mirror sky so perfectly you lose the horizon
Delfin III—not a cruise ship, a floating boutique lodge with teak decks and panoramic suites. Titilaka Lodge on a private Lake Titicaca peninsula. Palacio del Inka inside a 500-year-old colonial mansion built over Inca stones. Palacio de Sal constructed entirely from salt. These aren't hotels—they're part of the story.
Two visits to Machu Picchu (most tours give you one rushed morning). Nazca Lines overflight from Pisco. Private boat charter to Ballestas Islands. Three nights aboard Delfin III exploring Pacaya Samiria Reserve with naturalists who read the jungle like a book. Sunrise at Uros floating islands before tour groups arrive. Casa Aliaga—oldest mansion in the Americas, home to sixteen generations of one family, not open to public tours.
The Amazon naturalist who spots a three-toed sloth from 200 meters. The Cusco historian who explains why Sacsayhuamán's stones fit without mortar (spoiler: it's not aliens, it's genius). The Uyuni guide who stages perspective photos that break your Instagram. They don't recite facts—they reveal why these places matter.
Most people take the tourist train to Machu Picchu. You board the Hiram Bingham by Belmond—brass band greeting, champagne poured in crystal, mahogany interiors, live Peruvian music, four-course lunch with Chilean wine as the Andes slide past. The train itself becomes the journey. On the return, it transforms into a celebration: full bar, dancing, laughter echoing as you glide back to Cusco. This isn't transport—it's theater.
“Bienvenido.” Welcome to the edge of the Pacific. The first thing you notice about Lima is the light — soft, ocean-filtered, impossibly clear. The second is the calm precision with which everything seems to move. Before you can fumble for your luggage tag, it’s already been taken care of. Your bilingual greeter smiles, handles the details, and the city begins to unfold through tinted glass as you glide toward Miraflores.Lima is not a city you rush. It rewards those who linger — those who pause on the clifftop to feel the wind that carries salt and jasmine, who wander past cafés spilling espresso and conversation into the evening air. It’s here that Peru introduces itself — modern, composed, quietly confident in its heritage and its future.By mid-afternoon, you’re checking into the hotel. There’s time for a walk along the Malecón, that endless promenade where paragliders rise and lovers lean into the wind, before retreating to your room to rest.Tomorrow, the story deepens — from colonial facades to pre-Incan treasures — but tonight, let the ocean speak first.

Lima unfolds in contrasts — a city where the Pacific meets the past, where colonial façades share the skyline with modern glass and steel. At 9:00 AM, your guide awaits in the lobby, ready to show you both faces of Peru’s capital: the modern pulse of Miraflores and San Isidro, and the soul of old Lima — the “City of Kings.”You’ll walk through the Plaza de Armas, the heart of Spanish colonial power, where the Government Palace and Cathedral still command quiet reverence. In the Convent of Santo Domingo, centuries of devotion echo through painted cloisters. Then, a private visit to Casa Aliaga, the oldest mansion in the Americas — home to sixteen generations of one family, each room whispering a story of viceregal splendor and survival. Finally, the Larco Museum, a jewel of Peruvian heritage: over 45,000 pre-Columbian pieces, gold and ceramics that speak of civilizations far older than the Incas. You’ll wander storerooms once closed to the public, and perhaps smile at the museum’s most talked-about gallery — the “erotic room,” a candid celebration of fertility and life itself.Lunch is served at Café del Museo, under bougainvillea and soft ocean breeze. By evening, dine at Huaca Pucllana, beside ancient adobe ruins glowing in lamplight — a feast beneath the moon, where past and present share one table.

At dawn, Lima slips away. A private car hums south toward Paracas, the desert unfolding into ochre horizons. By mid-morning, the Ballestas Islands rise from the Pacific — wild, wind-carved, and teeming with life. Your private boat cuts across blue water, past El Candelabro, the ancient geoglyph carved into the cliffs — its origin still a riddle whispered by the wind.Sea lions laze on sunlit rocks, penguins dive between waves, and flocks of guanay cormorants trace patterns in the sky. This is nature’s theater, raw and unscripted.Lunch comes with a twist — a Ceviche Challenge at The Legend Paracas. Here, you become chef and competitor, creating Peru’s national dish from the freshest catch, judged for flair and flavor. A dash of fun, a splash of lime, and the bragging rights are yours. Then — the desert calls. You board a small plane in Pisco and rise above the Nazca Lines — 2,000-year-old figures etched across the sand: the hummingbird, the monkey, the condor. From the sky, the mystery is immense, humbling. Who drew them? Why? Some say gods, others astronomers — all agree, it’s one of Earth’s great enigmas. Return to Lima by sunset. Tonight, dinner awaits at Cala, perched above the Pacific — a toast to adventure with the rhythm of waves below.

The air in Iquitos feels different — thicker, alive. It hums with wings, whispers, and water. By mid-morning, your plane descends into the green vastness of the Amazon Basin, where rivers outnumber roads and the jungle seems to breathe.A private transfer carries you to Nauta, the small riverside town where your vessel awaits — the Delfin III, a floating sanctuary of glass and teak. You step aboard, greeted with chilled towels, champagne, and the knowing smile of a crew who treat every guest as if they’ve been expecting them all their lives.Your suite — a quiet cocoon overlooking the river — unfolds with panoramic windows, rain shower, and private terrace. As the Delfin slips away from shore, the Amazon reveals herself: mirror waters, drifting clouds, the occasional flash of pink river dolphins at the bow.At dusk, you take to the skiffs for your first night safari. The forest turns shadowed and symphonic. Eyes glint from the dark — caimans, bats, and night herons on silent wings. The air smells of rain and life itself. Return to the soft glow of the dining room, where dinner awaits — candlelight flickering on linen, local flavors turned into quiet poetry.

Dawn in the Amazon isn’t just seen — it’s heard. A thousand voices rise as the forest exhales its dreams. This morning, you glide along the Iquitos Caño, one of the richest corners of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Parrots flash through mist. Sloths curl in branches. The air smells of orchids and earth. Your naturalist guide points, smiles, and the jungle suddenly makes sense.Later, you climb into the trees — literally — along one of the world’s longest canopy walkways, suspended 85 feet above ground. From this height, the rainforest stretches like a living ocean. Every leaf, every wingbeat, feels amplified.By midday, you reach Yanayacu Pucate, where clear waters mirror the sky. Here, the brave cast a line for piranha — red flashes beneath black water — while others drift quietly in kayaks, watching reflections ripple like liquid glass. That evening, a local white shaman welcomes you to a circle of healing and song. Her presence is quiet, grounded — her chants echo across the water like prayer. Return to the Delfin. Dinner is elegant simplicity: grilled fish, jungle fruits, a chilled white wine that tastes of sunlight and rain.

The rhythm of the river slows, as if savoring its own secrets. After breakfast, skiffs cut across the Nauta Caño, where silver-backed tamarins leap through branches and pink dolphins play in the wake. It’s a world without walls, alive in every direction.By midday, you step into the rainforest — the Fundo Casual Jungle Trail — terra firma underfoot, a cathedral of green overhead. Your guide’s eyes catch what yours cannot: rainbow boas coiled in roots, the sudden flutter of a poison dart frog, a flash of color gone before you can name it.Later, at a riverside community, children wave as you arrive. Inside a small schoolhouse, laughter fills the air. Local women display handwoven crafts — natural dyes, ancient patterns, and the kind of patience only found in those who live by the river’s rhythm. Finally, at the Confluence of the Rivers, where the Ucayali and Marañón merge to form the mighty Amazon, you raise a glass — a toast to the waters that connect it all.

The jungle wakes early, but today, you move slower — reluctant to let it go.After breakfast, disembark at Nauta, where your car awaits. En route to Iquitos, there’s one last stop — Amazon Forever, a rescue and rehabilitation center for river mammals. Here, baby manatees float gently in clear pools, their calm eyes meeting yours with quiet curiosity. It’s a tender goodbye to a world both ancient and fragile.By afternoon, you’re airborne once more: Iquitos to Lima, then onward to Cusco, the navel of the Incan world. As your flight crosses the Andes, the jungle fades to cloud, and the land below turns gold with altitude.Upon arrival, a private transfer glides you through narrow cobbled streets to your next haven — Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection hotel set within a 500-year-old colonial mansion. Dinner tonight is a graceful welcome: Andean flavors reimagined for the modern palate, candles flickering against carved stone walls.

Cusco doesn’t introduce itself. It unfolds.Morning light spills over terracotta rooftops as you step into the cobbled heart of the former Inca Empire — a city that balances its dual soul between Andean pulse and Spanish grace.Begin at the San Pedro Market, a tapestry of color and scent designed by Gustave Eiffel himself. Here, vendors smile behind pyramids of fruit, wheels of cheese, and spices that tint the air gold. From there, the Koricancha Temple — once the center of the Incan world — glows beneath the stones of the Santo Domingo Convent. Its golden walls once caught the first rays of dawn, reflecting light across the city. The rhythm of the day builds upward — from the fortress of Sacsayhuamán, its 300-ton stones locked in seamless precision, to the quiet ceremonies once held at Qenqo and the sweeping views from the hilltop.By the time you step into Cusco’s Cathedral — carved from the Inca Emperor’s own palace — you’ll feel the strange harmony of worlds colliding and coexisting.Tonight, dinner unfolds at Nuna Raymi, where the story of Peru is plated in six courses, each bite whispering its own legend.

Morning mist drifts over the mountains as you leave Cusco behind — the road curling down into the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where sunlight paints terraces in gold and shadow.Your first stop: Chinchero, a village where time still spins on wooden looms. In a small cultural center, Quechua women demonstrate the art of dyeing alpaca wool with herbs, bark, and cochineal — transforming nature into color. Each weave tells a story of rain, harvest, and ancestry. Then to Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town of cobbled lanes and stone aqueducts. Climb the terraces of the fortress above — once a royal citadel, now a silent monument to precision and purpose.Lunch today is at Hacienda Sarapampa, a private farm framed by snow peaks. You’ll dine amid cornfields, the scent of earth and eucalyptus in the air — Andean farm-to-table at its purest. The afternoon leads to Pisac, its hilltop ruins terraced like a staircase to the heavens. Below, artisans fill the market with silver, textiles, and smiles. Return to Cusco in the amber light of late afternoon — the Andes glowing like embers on the horizon.

Today, luxury transcends static elegance and comes alive in motion. You board the Hiram Bingham by Belmond, named after the explorer who revealed Machu Picchu to the world in 1911. A brass band greets you on the platform; champagne is poured; the train begins its slow waltz through the Sacred Valley.Inside, mahogany and velvet meet crystal and linen. Outside, the Andes rise and fall in shades of green and silver. Lunch is served — tender trout, Andean corn, fine Chilean wine — while live Peruvian music sets the rhythm.By afternoon, you arrive in Aguas Calientes, gateway to the clouds. Your guide leads the ascent to Machu Picchu, the lost city that never really disappeared — only waited.Mist curls around stone temples and terraces carved from the mountain itself. Llamas graze where priests once watched the sun. You walk through history — not as a visitor, but as someone momentarily invited into its dream.Later, a cocktail awaits at the Sanctuary Lodge, perched beside the citadel, before descending to the warmth of your hotel at Machu Picchu, nestled in a private Andean garden of orchids and birdsong.

The dawn mist rises, and you return — back up the winding road, back into legend. The citadel is quieter now. Shadows soften the stones, and the first sunlight strikes the Intihuatana, the Inca sundial that once tethered heaven to earth. Your guide leads you along forgotten paths — to terraces, temples, and moments of silence where the past feels close enough to touch.Later, descend to Aguas Calientes for an exquisite tasting menu at Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel — a six-course celebration of Andean flavors paired with fine wines. Every dish tells a story: mountain herbs, high-altitude potatoes, sacred corn — the food of gods, plated for the traveler. As the afternoon wanes, the Hiram Bingham carries you back toward Cusco. Inside, the train transforms into a celebration — champagne glasses clink, musicians play, laughter spills like the river outside.By the time you arrive at the hotel, Cusco glows beneath the stars.

Today, let’s revel in the freedom to choose—no set agenda, just pure opportunity at your fingertips!Wake to sunlight over Inca stone and take your coffee slowly. Wander through the artisan quarter of San Blas, where studios and small workshops hum with creativity. Or sit by the plaza, watching the city’s rhythm unfold — dancers, pigeons, schoolchildren, and the scent of roasting corn. For those seeking immersion, two optional experiences await:Option 1: Mama Seledonia’s Kitchen. A culinary journey led by Seledonia Montalvo, a chef and social visionary who empowers single mothers through cuisine. Visit the local market to choose ingredients, then cook, laugh, and dine together in her home kitchen — a meal with meaning.Option 2: Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain. An early departure to hike among mineral-painted slopes at 5,000 meters, where the Andes show off their palette of crimson, gold, and turquoise. The air is thin, the silence absolute, the view unforgettable. In the evening, regroup for dinner at Kion, Cusco’s acclaimed Peruvian-Chinese fusion restaurant — a final toast to a city that feels both ancient and endlessly alive.

The road from Cusco to Puno is not a route — it’s a revelation. As dawn breaks, you depart the Incan capital and climb through a landscape that seems to stretch forever. Rolling valleys give way to high passes, the sky sharpening to impossible blue.Your first stop: Andahuaylillas, home to the Church of San Pedro Apóstol — its humble exterior hides a riot of baroque color. Locals call it “The Sistine Chapel of the Andes,” and when you look up at its painted ceiling, you understand why.Further along, the ruins of Raqchi rise against the sky — a 14-meter-high temple dedicated to Wiracocha, the Creator. Wind hums through the stones, carrying whispers from a thousand years ago.At La Raya Pass, 4,335 meters above sea level, the Andes open wide. You step out into cold, thin air and silence so pure you can almost hear the snow melt.By late afternoon, the journey descends toward the deep sapphire of Lake Titicaca, where your refuge awaits in a private retreat perched at the water’s edge. Dinner is served with quiet elegance — trout caught that morning, paired with white wine and the hush of twilight.

Sunrise at Titicaca is not watched — it’s felt. The light seeps across the water like liquid gold. After breakfast, your guide leads you across the lake’s surface by private boat to the legendary Uros floating islands. Entire communities live atop woven reeds that sway with the wind — homes, schools, even churches made from the same fragile material that floats beneath your feet. Here, you meet the Uro-Aymara people, guardians of this watery world. Their laughter carries across the lake; their hands move swiftly, weaving, shaping, repairing. They are descendants of those who fled to the water to survive — and stayed, crafting a life that defies logic and gravity.Continue across the open blue to Taquile Island, a UNESCO-recognized community where men knit intricate patterns in wool, each stitch a silent expression of status and story. You wander past terraced hillsides, stone arches, and smiling faces, before pausing for a lakeside picnic overlooking the distant Cordillera Real — Bolivia’s white peaks shimmering on the horizon.Return to Titilaka as the sun lowers and cocktails await. Dinner tonight is soft conversation, candlelight, and the lake whispering outside your window.

Today, the journey becomes a crossing — from one nation to the next, over water and into altitude. You trace the edge of Lake Titicaca by private vehicle, passing small hamlets and herds of alpaca that graze like moving pearls on the plains. The landscape grows starker, wilder. At Desaguadero, the border between Peru and Bolivia, you pass through immigration — a quiet moment of transition — and continue toward La Paz, the highest capital city in the world.La Paz sits cradled in a canyon, skyscrapers and adobe homes cascading down its slopes. Snowcapped Illimani watches over the city like a silent guardian. After a gourmet lunch en route, you embark on a half-day city tour: through colonial plazas, the Witches’ Market, and the ornate San Francisco Church. Ride the Teleférico, the world’s most spectacular urban cable car, gliding above the rooftops as the city unfolds in color below.Dinner tonight is refined and quiet — the hum of the city fading into the distance.

Before dawn, a private transfer takes you to the airport for your flight to Uyuni, gateway to one of Earth’s great wonders. Here, the world dissolves into white. The Uyuni Salt Flats, stretching over 12,000 square kilometers, are pure horizon — a sea of crystalline light where sky and ground become one.Your day begins at the haunting Train Cemetery, the rusted bones of 19th-century locomotives that once carried silver and dreams across the Andes. From there, continue to Colchani, where local families still harvest salt by hand — the same way their ancestors did for centuries. Then, you drive into the heart of the Salar. The air feels sharper, the silence almost holy. You visit the surreal “Stairway to Heaven”, an art installation by Gastón Ugalde, and the Eyes of the Salt, natural springs bubbling up through the crust — the veins of the earth exposed.Lunch is a private picnic in the middle of infinity — a white table set against an unbroken horizon. The sound of your own voice startles you; even time feels slowed. As the sun sinks, the sky blushes pink and gold, and the salt mirror ignites. Dinner tonight glows warm and luminous — a rare comfort at the edge of the world.

This morning, you drive north toward Tunupa Volcano, a sleeping giant that guards the Salar.Along the way, stop at Tunupa Volcano,, where ancient mummies rest in caves above the salt — their forms perfectly preserved by wind and mineral dust. It is eerie and beautiful, a reminder of how closely life and death coexist in the high Andes. At the foot of the volcano, you pause for another picnic lunch, this time with the salt flats spread out below like a frozen ocean. Then comes a moment of play: your guide helps stage surreal perspective photos — a tradition of Uyuni, where scale and imagination meet.By late afternoon, return to the white expanse for one last sunset. The mirror effect is total now — clouds above and below, the world suspended in reflection. You raise a final toast to silence.Dinner at Palacio de Sal is your farewell feast — local lamb, quinoa risotto, and Bolivian wine poured with reverence.

Morning comes softly. The light over the salt is pale and endless. After breakfast, you transfer to the airport for your onward flight — the final ascent into cloud and memory. As the plane lifts from Uyuni, you look down one last time. The salt flats shimmer like glass, reflecting everything you’ve seen and everything you’ve become along the way. This is no longer just a journey. It’s a story that will live in you — in the pulse of the Andes, the stillness of the Amazon, the silence of Uyuni, and the faces of those who shared their world so generously.

14. DATA PRIVACY AND PROTECTION
14.1. Absolute Journey collects and processes personal data provided by Guests (including but not limited to passport information, contact details, payment information, health or dietary information where applicable) solely for the purposes of arranging and administering travel services, ensuring compliance with legal obligations, maintaining safety and quality during the Journey, and fulfilling obligations under applicable data protection laws.
