Pune is Maharashtra’s second city, filled with rich Maratha history and vibrant street life. Take day trips to the magnificent rock-cut shrines at Ajanta and Ellora Caves. DAY 1-3

Mumbai never sleeps. You’ll see this as you cycle through the city at dawn, taking in the classic Victorian architecture and people-watching at beautiful seafront promenades. On guided bazaar tours, you’ll see heaving markets selling everything from jewels to flowers. Polish your bargaining skills, get an inside look at the making of a Bollywood movie, and sample some delicious street eats - we promise Mumbai is an unforgettable adventure. 


DAY 4-8

From the city, you’ll head into the lap of nature. Quiet hill towns in the lush Western Ghats offer opportunities for long treks, stunning valley views, and relaxed walks through local markets. In Maharashtra’s second city, Pune, you’ll go on heritage tours to relive the history of the Mughal Empire and the British Raj.  Sample local treats on a food trail before packing in some souvenir shopping. 


DAY 9-11

With a base in Aurangabad, you’ll take day trips to the magnificent Ajanta and Ellora Caves. These ancient sites feature stunning rock-cut cave architecture with paintings and sculptures that are thousands of years old. You’ll see cave temples with Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain shrines. Aurangabad is filled with glorious architecture, from Mughal-era tombs to formidable hilltop forts.
