Arrive at Dehradun airport and transfer to Atali Ganga. Relax in your charming hillside cottage until a pre-dinner welcome and orientation by your host. Get a good night’s sleep - the adventure begins tomorrow!
Start at 5.30am for the retreat’s first trail led by your running host. The 8km stretch from Malakunthi to Sirasu follows a beautiful forested route with continuous river views. You’ll be back at the resort in time for breakfast, where your running coach will share tips in a one-hour coaching session. After a relaxed afternoon, head to the river for some kayaking or a lovely swim.
At 7.30am, you’ll go to Mahadev Chatti by vehicle, where you’ll start your day of active adventure. A 10km hike followed by a 18km biking trail will take you along an ancient pilgrimage route, through forests and past river valleys, until you arrive at a stunning river confluence. An adrenaline-pumping whitewater rafting adventure takes you along a 20km stretch of water. Enjoy an evening at the resort at leisure.
Start your day with a challenging riverside run with a steep forest ascent. The trail winds past mountain villages and offers birdwatching opportunities. After breakfast and some free time, explore the buzzing town of Rishikesh - the Beatles Ashram, the Lakshman Jhula, and the wonderful evening Ganga aarti.
Today’s morning run affords stunning views of Himalayan peaks from Kota Gaon, situated on a high mountain bowl. After breakfast and your coaching session, try a specially designed, 13-element, high rope course to test and improve your balancing skills.
On your last morning, wind down with a yoga session in a serene riverside setting. Enjoy a hearty session before departing for Dehradun airport.
